Voegele began working on her debut album in Fall of 2006, shortly after signing with the label. She released her official debut studio album, Don't Look Away, on May 22, 2007.[1][2] Don't Look Away debuted at number 63 on the Billboard 200, selling 10,000 copies in its first week of release. It went on to sell over 250,000 copies.[3][4][5][6][7] Her appearance on the series was noted as being a big advancement for Voegele career wise,[8] with Voegele performing numerous songs from her album on the show.[9][10] The first episode of One Tree Hill featuring Voegele premiered on January 22, 2008.[11][12][citation needed]
