In June 2008, AKB48 announced plans to launch a sister group, SKE48, in Sakae, Nagoya.[5] In August, the group moved from DefStar Records to King Records.[citation needed] That month Ayaka Kikuchi was the first member to be fired from the group, for "immature behavior" involving a leaked purikura photo of her with a boyfriend.[6][7] Kikuchi returned to the group after a 2010 audition.[8]
