"

On 15 April 1946, Höss testified at the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg, where he gave a detailed accounting of his crimes. Höss was called as a defense witness by Ernst Kaltenbrunner's lawyer, Kurt Kauffmann.[8][9] The transcript of Höss's testimony was later entered as evidence during the 4th Nuremberg Military Tribunal, known as the Pohl Trial for principal defendant Oswald Pohl.[10] Affidavits that Höss made while imprisoned in Nuremberg were also used at the Pohl and IG Farben trials.[citation needed]
