The movement was reinvigorated following a mass gathering at the Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on 25 March 2012.[6][7] Attempts to introduce some form of legislation, even though it was weaker than that demanded by the activists, had expired with the end of the parliamentary session on 27 December 2011.[8][9] The government reintroduced the bill in the Rajya Sabha in February 2012 but it was not timetabled for debate and the session ended without the bill being passed.[citation needed]
