Laura Newbold Wood Roper (March 15, 1911 – December 5, 2003) was an American author who also published under the name L. N. Wood. In the 1930s she worked for the Works Progress Administration.[1] She published three biographies for young adults in the 1940s.[citation needed] In 1973 she published a biography of Frederick Law Olmsted. She wrote the first biography ever written about Raymond L. Ditmars.[2][3]
