In page Marie Jeanne Riccoboni:

"

Apart from authoring the works listed below, Riccoboni was the editor of a periodical, L'Abeille (1761), wrote a novel (1762) on the subject of Fielding's Amelia, and published a continuation of Marivaux's unfinished novel Marianne in 1761. She sought and received Marivaux's permission to publish this continuation, and impressed the public with her ability to adopt the original author's witty and intimate literary style, which had previously been deemed inimitable.[2] Riccoboni also corresponded with Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, author of Les Liaisons Dangeureuses, as well as David Hume and the celebrated actor David Garrick.[citation needed]
