  • The Royal Navy destroyer HMS Cardiff mistakenly shoots down a British Army Air Corps Westland Gazelle helicopter with two Sea Dart surface-to-air missiles near Pleasant Peak on East Falkland Island, killing all four occupants of the helicopter.[citation needed]
