"

The Commodore Semiconductor Group (formerly MOS Technology, Inc.), the silicon wafer foundry and integrated circuit manufacturing unit of Commodore International, was bought by its former management in January 1995 and resumed operations under the name GMT Microelectronics,[1] utilizing a troubled facility in Norristown, Pennsylvania that Commodore had closed in 1992.
