Curaçao is a multilingual society. The official languages are Dutch, Papiamentu and English.[1][2] However, Dutch is the sole language for all administration and legal matters.[3] Most of Curaçao's population is able to converse in at least two, though more commonly in all four of the languages of Papiamentu, Dutch, English, and Spanish.[citation needed]
