In page Carl Jung:

"

Jung's concepts of introversion and extraversion differ fundamentally from their common usage in modern trait psychology.[6] While contemporary models, such as the Big Five or psychometric adaptations such as Hans Eysenck's PEN model, often define these terms through social behavioural traits (such as shyness, gregariousness, sociability and impulsivity), Jung defined them as 'directional orientations of libido.'[citation needed][7][8] Modern theories often stay true to behaviourist means of describing such a trait (sociability, talkativeness, assertiveness etc.), whereas Jungian introversion and extraversion are expressed as a perspective: introverts interpret the world subjectively, whereas extraverts interpret the world objectively.[9]
