In page Uthman:

"

After Uthman's body had been in the house for three days,[citation needed] Na'ila approached some of his supporters to assist in his burial, but only about a dozen people responded, including Marwan, Zayd ibn Thabit, Huwatib ibn Alfarah, Jubayr ibn Mut'im, Abu Jahm bin Hudaifa, Hakim ibn Hazam and Niyar ibn Mukarram.[1] The body was lifted at dusk, and because of the blockade, no coffin could be procured. It was not washed, and Uthman was carried to the graveyard in the clothes he was wearing when he was killed.[2] Na'ila followed the funeral with a lamp, but in order to maintain secrecy, the lamp had to be extinguished. She was accompanied by some women, including Uthman's daughter Aisha.[3]: 247, 248
