The AEI Legal Center for the Public Interest, formed in 2007 from the merger of the National Legal Center for the Public Interest, houses all legal and constitutional research at AEI. The institute was influential in the law and economics movement in the 1970s and 1980s with the publication of Regulation magazine and AEI Press books.
