In page Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug:

"

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are weak acids,[1] with a pKa of 3–5.[citation needed] Except for aspirin, they are generally absorbed well in the digestive system.[2] Since they are highly protein-bound in plasma (typically >95%), usually to albumin, their volume of distribution is typically low and restricted to the space outside of cells.[2] NSAIDs are metabolized in the liver by oxidation enzymes and then conjugated into inactive metabolites that are typically excreted in the urine, though some drugs are partially excreted in bile.[2] Therefore, problems with liver function can lead to the abnormal processing of NSAIDs, which may increase the risk of digestive system or kidney related side effects.[3]
